Friends of Westchester County Parks and Con-Edison will kickoff Bicycle Sundays on May 6.
Not purely a commuting issue but I thought I would just blow it out there for our more active Fairfield County population who might enjoy this type of exclusive bicycle-exclusive access to the Bronx River Parkway.
During Bicycle Sundays the Bronx River Parkway is closed to vehicular traffic and open to cyclists, skaters,non-motorized scooters, walkers, joggers, and strollers from the County Center in White Plains,N.Y. south the Scarsdale Road in Yonkers,N.Y.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following Sundays, May 6, 13, and 20, June 3, 10, 17, 24, and September 9, 16, 23, and 30.
Parking is $5 at the County Center lot. The County Center is located at 198 Central Avenue in White Plains,N.Y.
