In Darien fourth grade girls basketball action, the Lions defeated the Eagles 44-16 on the strength of solid defense and timely rebounding.
Arden Anderson only played the fourth quarter and scored 10 points. Mia Cesare also scored 10 points with several drives to the hoop. Sarah Bogdan had a mid-game injury but continued playing and also totaled 10 points.
Alexandra Bowman assisted her players and worked several rebounds on the defensive side. Annelise Finn scored eight points and Francesca Highton put up six points and had several turnovers to her favor.
