Oxford’s first selectman’s race is too close to call.
Unofficial tallies in Oxford find Democratic incumbent First Selectman Mary Ann Drayton-Rogers with 1,895 votes to Republican challenger David Haversat’s 1,862 votes in Tuesday’s election. These preliminary results include absentee ballots.
There are three seats on the Board of Selectmen. Others winning a seat Tuesdasy were Democrat David McCane and Republican David R. Yish. Both received 1,878 each, according to unofficial tallies. This means that besides losing to Drayon-Rogers, Haversat also lost a seat on the board.
