MILFORD – The two Orange teens killed when their car was broadsided by a Milford police cruiser in June had been to a party earlier in the evening where they appeared drunk.
That claim is made in an arrest warrant affidavit released Wednesday for Jaycen Munro, the 21 year-old who hosted the birthday party that Ashlie Krakowski and David Servin attended hours before the fatal crash.
Officer Jason Anderson has been charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter in the young couple’s deaths. Awarrant affidavit in his case, also released Wednesday, said Anderson had the accelerator pressed to the floor moments before his cruiser slammed into the Mazda that Servin was driving, at the corner of the Boston Post Road and Dogwood Road in Orange.
Guests at Munro’s party say in the warrant charging him with serving liquor to minors that Servin played beer pong at the party. Both Krakowski and Servin seemed “buzzed’’ when they arrived at about 10:30 p.m., witnesses say in the warrant.
More to follow.

This is so sad. Now their families are left to suffer forever b.c they made a bad choice. I know people are going to come on here and say how nice they were, and not to judge, and they probably were nice people. But what would have been nicer for everyone involved is if they had NOT driven drunk and put their lives and everyone else’s on the road that night at risk. Although I feel sorry for the families involved, I have VERY LITTLE if any tolerance for those who drive drunk.

The cop was wrong for speeding and should be disciplined. But if the driver of the kid’s vehicle was drunk then the cop will be off the hook. If I’m on the jury I would never find the cop guilty if the kids were drunk.

It is sad that this news has come out that the two young people involved were drinking. First, let’s wait and see what the toxicology report states before judging this young man and woman who tragically lost their lives due to the irresponsibility of a police officer who thought it would be fun to “drag race” on the Post Road with his foot on the gas pedal down to the floor! When the vehicle was taking a left into the parking lot keep in mind he probably saw the police car from a distance and did not know that the approaching vehicle was going 94 miles an hour and from that point did think he was able to make the turn. If the police car was going regular speed the turn would have been made safely. I can assure you this police officer will not be “off the hook”. The fact that he was traveling at a speed such as his alone would assist the jury in finding him guilty of negligence and hopefully will be serving many years in jail. I do not feel sorry for him. He was appointed to a position where we as citizens should be able to look up to him for safety not for breaking rules – especially when it comes to safety on the roads. Although, I do feel there is a great problem with underage drinking – there is also a much larger problem with adults over 21 drinking and driving.

Whether the teens were drunk or not, there is absolutely no excuse for a police officer NOT responding to a call to be driving 94 miles per hour in that stretch of roadway. I don’t care what time it was. Even in an emergency that is insane. It may affect the officer’s punishment but he must be held responsible for his reckless actions that certainly played a huge role in these two deaths. And he absolutely should be fired immediately.

I agree with TLEC. Although, he has been suspended with pay I do understand your feeling that he should be fired immediately, but unfortunately this is a call that can only be made when the appropriate people feel there is just cause. From viewing the tape, which sickened me, he definitely was the cause of these two young peoples’ deaths.

Although they made the decision to drive after they had been drinking… that does not excuse the two delinquent officers from their negligence… they (HE) killed 2 kids! The two police officer’s behavior ia appauling… Pisani was accelerating from 50 to 72 miles per hour before the accident occured when Alexander blew past him at approx. 90+ miles per hour… they BOTH were negligent and BOTH must be fired– END OF CAREER! They are BOTH going to be sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars, judgements placed against them by the court system… loose their houses, ect… but one things for sure… they get to LIVE… Breathe… Eat… Be with their families… the 2 kids DO NOT! Sad

Drunk or not, the accident wasn’t their fault. It was the reckless police officer who was speeding. Plus, maybe they appeared “buzzed” earlier, but does that mean they were? Where is the toxicology report to back this up? This is a load of crap put out by the cops so they can look a little better in the eyes of the public.

After looking at the video, and the speed of the 2 kids who died and the reckless behavior of the 2 cops – I question whether the cops were the actual drunk drivers – drunk with irresponsibility – certainly not protecting or serving anyone
94 MPH on the Post Road !

This cop was speeding and not responding to a call and he killed 2 people. Does not matter if these teens were drinking or not. I see cops speeding all the time, and working their laptops at the same time. Some cops think they are above the law….speeding, working laptop while driving/speeding, running red lights!!

First of all, I’m not submitting this comment to enrage anyone or sound like I’m siding with this officer. I’m a police officer in Maryland, this officer should have not been going 94mph. And that he should be punished for. Now on to the reason I’m commenting, one of the earlier posters had said that a police officer should never reach speeds that excessive even on emergency calls. But we do, when you have a frantic victim screaming on the phone with 911 about her boyfriend stabbing her or beating her up it is essential that we get there to protect and save her. If that’s you on the end of that phone, begging for help would you like us to take our time???? No, you wouldn’t. And next, the laptops in our car’s cannot in anyway shape or form be used in anyway for personal use. If that officer is touching that laptop its for official business. Most likely updating info about the call he is going to. These teens should not have been killed by this officers hand, they should have lived a long healthy life. But like a human this officer made a bad decision to act in a manner that changed the lives of every party involved. As a human he will have to live with that for the rest of his life. Just like the decision each and everyone of YOU have made that you had to 2nd guess should it be done.

Some of you just want to keep blaming ONLY the police officer. While he was definitely wrong in his actions so were the couple. Driving drunk and going through a red blinking light is WRONG. If it wasn’t the police officer’s car that hit them it could very well have been another car. Period. BOTH PARTIES IN BOTH CARS ARE TO BLAME.
