Connecticut Postings

Short descriptive tagline

Not the peanut butter

Police Chief Dave Peck was out and about Saturday morning when he was apparently flagged down from some employees of a tree company doing some work on the Old Post Road in the town’s Southport section.

The workers found a headstone in a small stream on the property. It’s engraved “Skippy – August 21, 1942 – June 28, 1950.”

The cops think it’s a safe bet the headstone was marking the final resting place of a family pet. It’s at police headquarters now.
