The Finch administration and the Bridgeport Police Department plan to unveil some initiatives to combat the recent spate of homicides in the city.
One of those will be a gun buyback program similiar to those done in numerous other cities in recent years. The police department’s website, in touting the program prior to a news conference later this week, referred to it as a “Guy Buy Back” program.
That could be interesting.

Interesting that they are having a “Guy” buy back… Who proof reads this stuff?

Let me know when Bridgeport is buying gals; I have a wife I may sell.

Can we return Finch then?

This will work as well as the rest have across the country. It won’t keep the bad “guys” off the street, because they are worth much more than the program is willing to pay. Instead they will get the broken-down or ancient “guys” that aren’t a problem. You will hear of some widow bringing in a “guy” that her late husband left her and she doesn’t know what to do with.
Mayor Finch thinks this will work because he believes you can buy a Saturday Night Special “guy” on the street corner for $25-50. I wish that was true because then I could buy some of these “guys”, change the barrel for $50 which would change it from a dirty “guy” to a clean “guy” and sell them to a “guy” store so a legitimate purchaser can have a new “guy”. The barrel is, of course, that long shaft-like part that is pretty much the most important part of a “guy” and without which no “guy” would be a problem.
