Malloy to “non-essential” state employees: Stay home all day; Most state offices closed

Late Tuesday night Gov. Dannel Malloy hedged his bets, telling most state workers to stay home until noon Wednesday. By 6 a.m., those non-essential state employees, upwards of 50,000, were finally told to stay home all day. As part of the civil preparedness emergency Malloy declared, most state offices will be closed today.
