Several Avicii concertgoers hospitalized

At least 20 people attending the Avicii concert at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport Tuesday night were taken to the hospital after they were found either intoxicated or unresponsive, based on emergency dispatches.

Bridgeport police said they have a detail at the arena, but didn’t say if any arrests were made.

The concertgoers, whose ages ranged from 15-late 20s, were taken to Bridgeport Hospital and St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Avicii, is a Grammy-nominated electronic musician from Sweden.

Ilario Altamura, co-promoter of the event, said Avicii is one of the first major electronic acts to play in southwestern Connecticut.

“The popularity of electronic music has exploded around the world and we are absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to bring a global talent like Avicii to our region,” Ilario, who is the co-founder of Midnite Society, a concert promoter, said. “This will be the first of many large-scale events of this kind in Connecticut.”

Why are you not telling the truth about this event??? Is it because most kids were not from Bridgeport?? Had they been from Bridgeport you would tell the truth and say those kids were selling Crystal Meth in the bathrooms and getting high as a sky at that concert and the news and cops are covering up for them. The concert of that type should not go on again.. kids where high and tied up and placed in the back for their parents to get. If that were Bpt. kids you would have them all arrested!!! Stop covering up your mess!!!
