Halloween in Milford to wait for Friday

We just received this urgent notice from Mayor Benjamin G. Blake of Milford:

We are asking everyone to prepare for the Nor’easter coming late Wednesday. We expect rain and 20-30 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph.

Last week, because of downed power lines and fallen trees, the city of Milford, as well as many surrounding communities, postponed Halloween to Nov. 7 in the interest of the safety of our children. In light of the anticipated Nor’easter, we are asking everyone to celebrate Halloween on Friday, Nov. 9.

Be safe and sensible while having fun this Halloween Friday.
