Problems with the Pequonnock substation and a circuit on Bird Street have left 1,111 Bridgeport customers without power in the South End. United Illuminating crews are responding.

Transformer problems and wires down have left 880 customers in Bridgeport’s Jewett Avenue area, 1,305 in Shelton’s Huntington Street are aand 918 MIlford residents without power while a nor’easter approaches Connecticut. Town crews in Fairfield, Seymour, Stratford  and Trumbull are readying for the storm by pre-treating hilly roads.
