A man was reportedly robbed while walking in the North End with a female companion Tuesday night.
Police received multiple calls of an Asian man down on Keeler Avenue near Main Street around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived a few minutes later and found the man bleeding from a cut on his forehead.
The man said he was a student and that the robbers made off with two cell phones and a wallet. He said the incident happened on nearby Terry Place. Police searched area and found evidence that gunshots had been fired, but the bullets did not hit the man or anything else apparently. The cut above the man’s eye might have resulted from a pistol-whipping.
Officers were continuing to investigate the incident late Tuesday. A description of suspects was not immediately available Tuesday.
