Car collides with fire truck, flees

Bridgeport police are looking for a car that reportedly sideswiped a city fire truck and kept driving Friday night.

The accident was reported in the 400 block of Bishop Avenue. There were no reports of injuries to the firefighters or major damage to the fire truck.

Scanner reports described the car as an older white four-door sedan bearing Connecticut license plates and being driven by an older white man. The car was last seen heading south on Bishop Avenue toward Connecticut Avenue. The car’s passenger side mirror was knocked off in the collision.
