Madeline Bottone retiring Ansonia Town Clerk feted

DERBY-Madeline Bottone, who served 16 years as Ansonia’s town clerk was feted Sunday at the annual Ansonia-Derby Sunday brunch.
Marc Garofalo, the former Derby mayor served as toastmaster for the event which always takes place the Sunday before elections.
Gov. Dannel Malloy commended Bottone, who is not seeking Re-election for her service as did U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy.
Prior to becoming town clerk, Bottone served several years as an assistant in the office.
