Local officials honored for domestic violence work

|

For the third year, Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence will honor “100 plus” men for their work to raise awareness about domestic violence and help improve the lives of victims.

Among the honorees this year are: Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch, Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett Jr., Bridgeport Police Officer David Rivera and Maurice Hill, of the Court Support Services Division.

Gov. Dannel Malloy will be present at the event — to be held in Cromwell — to provide remarks and congratulate the honorees.

“I truly am honored,” said Finch. “The coalition and its member groups do such amazing work every day to help protect and serve domestic violence victims. They deserve the accolades.”
