Women charged with stealing SUV

BRIDGEPORT — A local club DJ who agreed to give two women a ride home ended up walking home, police said.

The two women, Ashley Jackson, 22, of Bridgeport, and a 17-year-old juvenile, also from Bridgeport, were both later charged with third-degree larceny for allegedly stealing the DJ’s car.

Two females were arrested after they got a ride from a friend of a friend and then stole his vehicle, police said.

The victim, a DJ at the L&A Club on Stratford Avenue, told police that a friend asked him if he could give the two women a ride home to the Greene Homes housing complex.

He stopped at a gas station and went inside to pay. But when he came back out, his vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Durango, was missing, police said.

Officer Thomas Flaherty later radioed in that he saw a vehicle matching that description in Greene Homes. He and officers Barry Jones and Michael Novia pulled over the vehicle and detained the two women.
