Alleged mail thieves arrested in Stratford

Two men have been charged with stealing mail from homes in Stratford, after a detective saw them rifling through the residential mailboxes, police said.

Kenyata Williams, 32, and Andre Salmon, 31, were arrested Monday, said Lt. Frank Eannotti, the police department spokesman.

Mail from several homes located in the East Broadway area was found in their possession, Eannotti said. U.S. Postal Inspectors were notified, and it is possible that the suspects may be linked to other mail thefts in the area, the Stratford police spokesman said.

Williams was charged with five counts of larceny in the sixth degree, five counts of criminal trespass and interfering with an officer.  He was also found to be on probation and he had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery in the state of Florida.

Salmon was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.  He was also on probation and was subsequently charged with violation of probation and remanded to custody by probation officers.

Good. I am glad you crummy thieves have been caught. If you have enough get up and go to walk around a neighborhood stealing, then you are capable of working. Get a job, punks.
