Members of the Bridgeport Detective Division, Fugitive Task Force, and patrol have arrested Davonte Gray-Brown, 21, of Hancock Avenue on murder charges.
Gray-Brown’s charges stem from the murder of Dewayne Gardner, the 13th homicide of 2013, which occurred on Dec. 16 2013.
The investigation is still ongoing; this was the second arrest in the homicide investigation, according to Capt. James Viadero
Gardner was shot in front of 176-178 Poplar Street shortly after 2 a.m., crashing his Nissan Pathfinder into a parked car a short distance away.
He was brought to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Gardner was shot several times in the torso.
Gray-Brown was located in the rear of an apartment building located at 1755 Stratford Ave. after officers had checked several locations for him.
Brown-Gray was charged with Felony Murder, Criminal Possession of a Pistol or Revolver, and Carrying a Pistol W/O a Permit, and is being detained on a $1,000.000.00 Bond, the warrant was obtained by Detective Paul Ortiz.
