A teenager is facing a felony charge in Bridgeport after an an officer allegedly spotted him driving a stolen car in the central part of the city Monday afternoon.
Officer Mark Martocchio reportedly saw a stolen Chevrolet Traverse traveling on Wood Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday. He called for back-up and police stopped the car a short distance away on East Eaton Street.
The driver of the car, identified as 19-year-old Keith Jones, open the door and police said they though he might run. But Martocchio told the teen that he had a K-9 with him and Jones surrendered without incident.
Jones was charged with first-degree larceny. Other people in the car were released without being charged.
