This is one panhandler that can’t be ignored

|

BRIDGEPORT – A panhandler, who police said apparently couldn’t take no for an answer, stabbed a local man in the chest.
Dwayne “Crab” Upchurch, 41, was charged Thursday with second-degree assault.
Police said on Nov. 22, the 49-year-old victim was walking on East Main Street when he was approached by Upchurch who asked him if he had any spare change. The victim replied, “No, get yourself a damn job,” and with that police said Upchurch pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim twice in the chest.
The victim was treated for his injuries at Bridgeport Hospital.

Ok, he should NOT have been assaulted but at the same time he should have refrained from saying a rude comment. All he had to say was no.

Not exactly the choice of words I might have used but a great example of every action (or inaction)exacting a cost.
