Homeless man found dead in a car buried in snow

A 57 year-old man was found dead in a car on Grey Rock Road in Norwalk this morning, police said.

The man was in the backseat of the car, wrapped in a sleeping bag, said Lt. Paul Resnick, the Norwalk police spokesman.

“The car was parked facing the wrong way on the street and it had been there through a couple of snowstorms,” Resnick said. “Neighbors told us that the car had been there for 7-10 days.”

There were no obvious signs of foul play on the body, and police believe that the man died of natural causes, Resnick said. “The body has been brought to the Office of the State Medical Examiner, where an exact cause of death will be determined,” he said.

Although the man was homeless, he owned the car that his body was found in, police said. The man’s name is not being released because his next of kin has not been notified, police said.

There was a guy who was kicked out of an auto parts place in stamford a few weeks back. The manager
Called the cops and the cops had his car towed away. People nowadays have no heart.

That’s good news. Better late then never. I do believe if it wasn’t for the public pressure from Connecticut’s law abiding gun owners, both the Bridgeport Police Dept and the local media wold have been happy for this story to die a quiet death.

This is so sad and tragic. We must do more to help those who have no homes.

That is just horrible. So NEIGHBORS see the car there for 7-10 days and never close enough to see someone laying there? People need to start opening up their eyes a little more. You never know when your going to need a watchful eye over you!
