Cops: Ex-Radio Shack employee took $3,400

A New Haven man was arrested after an investigation showed that he took more than $3,400 from the Radio Shack on Bridgeport Avenue in Milford  while he was employed there last summer, police said.

Jamar Roberts, 29, of Summit Street in New Haven, had processed several fraudulent customer returns and pocketed the proceeds, said Officer Jeff Nielsen, the Milford police spokesman.

Roberts was arrested on a warrant Wednesday afternoon and released after posting a $5,000 bond. He will be arraigned April 1 in Milford Superior Court on a charge of third-degree larceny.
