|

BridgeportBridgeport police were on the lookout Friday night for a man who allegedly invaded a home and tied his victim up on the city’s West Side.

Officers were called to the home on Lewis Street near Park Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. Friday. The victim told officers they might know the assailant, who reportedly fled the scene on foot. The suspect was said to be armed with a handgun.

The suspect was described as a 35-year-old Hispanic man standing 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing about 180 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a bulletproof vest, a brown or beige hooded jacket and a fitted baseball cap. He had a thin, goatee-style beard.
