Police investigate shooting in Shelton

Update 12:45 p.m: Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky confirms that the individual shot last night on Agawam Trail was a 15-year-old city youth who remains in critical condition. It is unclear what hospital the young male was taken to and police will not say where he was shot.

Both Shelton Police and state police are investigating.

 

Update, 11:40 p.m.: Shelton police have confirmed that a man was found lying in a driveway with a gunshot wound after someone called emergency crews around 8:45 p.m. Saturday.

Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said detectives were at the scene late Saturday night.

Kozlowsky said the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Earlier:

Police in Shelton are investigating a shooting in the Pine Rock Park section of town.

A person was reportedly shot on Agawam Trail in the southeastern part of town shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The condition and identity of the victim were not immediately available.

    At 8:42pm Saturday night March 15 2014 I heard a single shot ring out. Fifteen minutes later the tiny Pine Rock Park streets were congested with Shelton police cars and EMS. Early rumors are someone, a minor has been shot possibly in the head.
