GoFundMe setup for victims of Oxford shootings

|

The Oxford Ambulance Association has setup a GoFundMe account looking to raise money in support of the victims of Wednesday’s double shooting in Oxford.

The website, setup by Oxford Ambulance Association Director Jerry Schwab, has raised $1650 by 39 people in 19 hours, with a long term goal of $25,000.

“The lives of the Jackson family members have been irrevocably changed. In this time of despair, when those intimately affected are searching for a way to move forward and heal, it is our wish to alleviate as much discomfort as possible,” reads the website.

The funds will help offset medical costs, funeral costs, and support of the children left behind, according to the website.

Donations are also being accepted via check to the Jackson Family Fund c/o Oxford Ambulance, 484 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478.
