WEST HAVEN — A woman who allegedly threw a frying pan full of hot food and cooking oil at her former boyfriend was arrested this morning.

Police said Madeline Roque has been charged with first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and disorderly conduct in the domestic violence incident that occurred on Sunday.

The 33 year-old New Haven woman went to the man’s home and found him cooking, Sgt. David Tammaro said. “An altercation occurred and she used a frying pan he was cooking with and threw it at his back,” the police spokesman said.

The victim suffered second-degree burns to his back and was transported to an area hospital.  Roque fled before police arrived, Tammaro said.

She is being held on a $100,000 bond.
