Broken taillight leads to cocaine arrest

A defective brake light led to a man’s arrest on drug charges.

At around 9 PM Tuesday, Milford police observed a vehicle traveling on the Boston Post Road with a broken tail light.

When they stopped the car, police said they found that the driver – Carlyle Fluery, 28, of New Haven – was in possession of cocaine.

Fluery was charged with possession of narcotics. He will appear in court on July 15.

Do you know how many cars have broken tail lights that never get stopped? I think they are just saying this to justify stopping him.
