Malloy, Finch announce second train station in Bridgeport

Gov. Dannel Malloy and Mayor Bill Finch announced on Wednesday that the State Bond Commission will approve $2.75 million for the design of a second train station in Bridgeport, with a possible opening date of the station in 2018. The state had previously given the city $2 million for demolition of a section of the former Remington Arms factory on the south side of Barnum Avenue, where the station will be built.

Why? There is no reason to have another station in Bport. Waste of money…put more money into PARKING at the existing stations!

Funny how with elections just around the corner, things start to happen. Both fighting for their political careers. I hope voters can see past their scheme and vote them both out. Bridgeport needs lots of things to happen all of the time, not just when sorry excuse for leaders need to fight for their jobs.

Are you serious? Funding for a new station in BPT? How about funding to fix the bridges that are held together by rust???
