There are annual cicadas which appear every year and periodical cicadas which appear every 13 or 17 years depending on the particular type. This year Brood II, a 17 year periodical, will be emerging in large numbers on the east coast.

Many thanks to the City Council and Senators Ayala and Musto for their support of the extraordinary achievements of UB’s Women’s Gymnastics team. Five national championships in five years is amazing and these women and their coach deserve every accolade. It was a wonderful ceremony and we thank those that participated.
