New Canaan, Darien and Greenwich Academy each had two players named as First Team members of the 2012 Connecticut All-American Girls Lacrosse Team.
Senior midfielder Sarah Mannelly and junior attack Olivia Hompe of New Canaan each earned First Team All-American honors. The high-scoring duo helped lead the Rams to the CIAC Class M championship. Junior attack Taylor Hardison and senior defender Emily Tropsa were First Team All-American selections for Darien.
Emily Conway, a senior attack, and Mary Taussig, a junior midfielder were named to the First Team for Greenwich Academy, which captured its 27th FAA title in 29 seasons. Greenwich High senior attack Claire Feeney, who registered 97 goals and 18 assists this season in helping lead the Cardinals to the Class L title, made First Team All-American, as did Wilton senior midfielder Casey Pearsall.
Christy Forrest (goalie, Daniel Hand), Devin Markison (midfielder, Loomis Chaffee), Jordan McCarthy (defender, Taft), Sarah Nesi midfielder, Fairfield Ludlowe) and Laurel Pascal (midfielder Taft) also made First Team All-American.
The following earned All-American Honorable Mention honors: Midfielder Jessie Ambrose, Staples; midfielder Maria Blois, Cheshire; midfielder Alexandra Crofts, Staples; attack Katie Devito, Glastonbury; midfielder Tori Dunster, Greenwich; attack Jena Fritts, Darien; attack Tess Mackay, Simsbury; goalie Katherine Mandigo Loomis Chaffee; midfielder Alli Sciarretta, Convent of the Sacred Heart and midfielder Mackenzie Tesei, Choate Rosemary Hall.

Dave, great to see these kids get AA, one question why in Girls lax are Private and Public schools combined for AA, I noticed the boys are separated?
