Rory McIlroy, the reigning U.S. Open golf champion from Northern Ireland, and Caroline Wozniacki, the world’s top-ranked women’s tennis player from Denmark, were seen together at a London restaurant having dinner Sunday, according to a blog. The two have made their friendship public as they’ve both been tweeting back and forth to each other, Sporting News reported.
The relationship of McIlroy, 22, and Wozniacki, 21, leads fans of both sports to recall that Spaniard Sergio Garcia, 31, and Martina Hingis, 30, of Switzerland, once dated as well.
If you combined their achievements, which couple is better?
McIlroy and Wozniacki — the three-time defending Pilot Pen champion who will be a main draw at the New Haven Open at Yale next month — are in the early stages of their careers and Garcia and Hingis have long been stars, buy you have to like the younger couple’s chances. (Hingis is retired)
