When Bridgeport Bluefish general manager, Ken Shepard, posted a photo on Twitter of a new design for “military appreciation” jerseys complete with nipples, he got some feedback.
The jerseys were to be auctioned off to fans, but it didn’t take long for Shepard to see that the nipples were not well-received. Fans made fun of the design and called it ugly.
“We got the message loud and clear,” Shepard said. “That’s what social media is all about.” – sportsgrid.com
The military-themed jerseys (whatever they end up looking like) will be worn on two military nights – August 30 and September 11.
