Baseball fans should mark their calendars for 2015’s Bridgeport Bluefish “Hot Stove Banquet” on Tuesday, January 27.
The event, which will be held at Fairfield Theater Company – StageOne in Fairfield, “offers fans a unique look inside the baseball industry through the eyes of a veteran former Major Leaguers,” according to Bluefish general manager Jamie Toole.
This year’s keynote speaker is former Major Leaguer and Boston Red Sox star Trot Nixon.
“Trot Nixon is a former Major League Baseball outfielder, best known for his time as a member of the Boston Red Sox. He spent 10 seasons in a Red Sox uniform between 1996 and 2006, and was a member of the 2004 World Series Championship team. During his 12 year Major League career, which included stints with the Cleveland Indians and New York Mets, Trot compiled a .274 batting average with 137 home runs, 555 RBI, and 579 runs scored over the course of 1,092 games played.” – bridgeportbluefish.com
Nixon and the remaining guest panel, who will be announced at a later date, will be involved in an interactive and candid panel discussion. Following the discussion, guests will be able to participate in a Q&A session with the panel members.
