John Malkovich stars in student workshop at Fairfield University

Prior to his sold-out appearance in “The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer” at Fairfield University, Emmy Award-winning actor John Malkovich took part in an Educational Forum/Pre-performance Student Workshop.

The afternoon session, open only to students, took place in the The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts Wien Experimental Theatre.

An Academy Award nominee, Malkovich has starred in “Places in the Heart,” “In the Line of Fire,” “Empire of the Sun,” “The Killing Fields” and “Dangerous Liaisons.”

Fairfield University’s Educational Forum/Pre-performance Student Workshops give students access to artists who are leaders in their fields.

“The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer” is based on the true story of serial killer Jack Unerweger, who was released from prison in 1990 after writing a celebrated memoir and claiming he was rehabilitated. He went on to kill about a dozen prostitutes before hanging himself when he was sent back behind bars.
