Reclusive rap goddess Ms. Lauryn Hill will bring her collection of chart-topping hits to Connecticut when she performs at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets, which cost $78 and $58, are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
Establishing her career as the lone female member of the acclaimed R&B/hip hop trio, The Fugees, Hill launched her solo career with the release of the commercially and critically acclaimed album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.” The recording, which featured the singles “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and “Ex-Factor,” earned a record-breaking five Grammy Awards.
Hill took a much-publicized hiatus in 2000, before returning five years later to join the Fugees on a reunion tour. Recently, she performed a string of solo concerts, including appearances at this year’s Rock The Bells Festival in New York City and the Coachella Valley Music Festival in California.
