‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ told through song, stories

Stamford’s Activities for Kids choir, and other youth groups across Stamford and beyond have been working hard to get ready for a Christmas show at the Palace Theatre in Stamford, Sunday, Dec. 11. In the video above, they work on the tune, “It Must Be Santa,” with Jerry Pia, executive director, during a recent rehearsal at the Glenbrook Community Center, where the nonprofit Activities for Kids is based.

All told, there will be about 100 children participating, including those from such Stamford-based performing groups as the Westover Singers and North East Vocalists, singers from New Canaan High School and 11-year-old Rachel Strazza of Wilton, in addition to the Activities for Kids choir.

Special guests are expected to include Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia and the newly named Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine, as emcee.
