Hundreds of young dancers from across the tristate area are expected to come together this weekend for “Stars of Tomorrow … Giving Back Today,” a benefit performance that will support the work of Dancers Responding to AIDS.
The event, which will take place Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, will incorporate master classes for the dancers, as well as an evening performance for the public.
There are several area dance companies that are expected to participate in this 10th annual invitational. They include Allegra Dance Studio of Greenwich; City Center Dance of White Plains, N.Y.; Connecticut Dance Conservatory of Stratford; Dance Etc. School for Performing Arts, Inc. of Newtown; Darien Arts Center of Darien; and Monroe Dance Academy of Monroe.
Tickets are $25 for the 6:30 p.m. performance. A pre-performance reception and gift basket fundraiser is planned for 5 p.m.. The Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center is at 237 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, N.Y.
