Connecticut’s most colorful spring-time festival is back again this year with a musical line-up that boasts a bevy of popular home state acts.
Set for Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29 at Hubbard Park, the 2012 Meriden Daffodil Festival is set to include performances by Stratford husband-wife duo Mates of State (right), New Haven psych-folk outfit M.T. Bearington, Mystic roots rock band Barefoot Truth (above) and Connecticut blues rockers The D. Smith Blues Band.
With 37 acts expected to perform on three stages, 2012 marks the largest-ever line-up in festival history, according to Robert DeRosa, festival organizer. For the complete line-up and set times, go online.
The festival will also feature carnival rides, children’s entertainment, a food tent, a fishing derby and the crowning of Little Miss Daffodil, among other activities.
