After announcing the release of her first album in seven years, Grammy Award-winning chanteuse Fiona Apple (right) is set to embark on a North American tour that takes her to Connecticut twice this summer.
Apple is slated to perform at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods in Mashantucket on Friday, June 22 and at Ives Concert Park in Danbury on Friday, June 29. Tickets to the Foxwoods show can be purchased here; tickets to the Ives Concert Park show can be purchased here.
“The Idler Wheel…,” Apple’s first LP since 2006’s “Extraordinary Machine,” is scheduled for release on June 18 via Epic. Apple debuted three new songs from the album, including the first single, “Every Single Night,” at her performance at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas in March (check out the performance below).
Apple met international acclaim in 1996 for her debut album, “Tidal.” At 19, she earned a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for “Criminal” from that album in 1998. Her 199 follow-up, “When The Pawn…,” also was a commercial and critical success.
