Greenwich resident building $2 million Batcave in home

“Quick! To the Batcave!”

That’s the phrase a Greenwich resident might be shouting after a $2 million theater resembling Batman’s underground lair is built in his home.

Elite Home Theater Seating, a Canadian-based company, has designed the 12,000-square-foot private home to include all the comforts of Wayne Manor: a Batcomputer, Batmobile, Batsuits, 180 degree film screen, sound effects, gargoyles and even a Bat-themed elevator. It is scheduled for completion in November.

“The ‘Dark Knight’ themed custom home theater was actually a design concept we did free of charge for one of our previous clients, mainly just for fun,” Bobby Bala, CEO of Elite Home Entertainment, said in a statement. “Personally, I’m a huge Batman fan and with a background in CG animation, we were able to finish up the design within a couple weeks.”

Still, the question remains: who is this hardcore Batman fan, and does he wear a cape?

Genius! I’m not a huge Batman fan but I know my husband would love it. What a beautiful design. I hope the finished product looks just as nice.
