G. Love brings the sauce to Ridgefield Playhouse

Seasoned hip hop blues outfit G. Love & Special Sauce delivered a lusty performance on Wednesday, Nov. 14 before a near-sold out crowd at Ridgefield Playhouse.

The Philly-bred musicians stayed true to their classic sound, performing hits such as “Baby’s Got Sauce,” “Booty Call” and “Parasite,” while delving into the straight-forward blues and country of G. Love’s most recent albums, “Fixin’ To Die” (produced by The Avett Brothers) and “Gone Country.”

G. Love, who was joined by bassist Timo Shanko and drummer Jeffrey Clemens, last performed in Connecticut at Stamford’s Alive@Five summer concert series.  (Photos/Adam Ace)
