Westport’s Melissa Joan Hart dishes on drug use, Hollywood hookups in new tell-all

Melissa Joan Hart’s characters have practiced witchcraft and faked being sick to get out of school.

But that’s child’s play compared to the real life antics of the ex Nickelodeon star.

From drug-fueled parties to surprising Hollywood hook-ups, the 37-year-old actress and Westport resident dishes on her wild side in a new memoir due out Tuesday, Oct. 29.

“I experimented with weed, ecstasy, mushrooms and mescaline for about a year and a half,” Hart told Life and Style in a recent interview about her book, the aptly titled “Melissa Explains It All.”

Hart also revealed that she once partied at the Playboy Mansion while on ecstasy and made out with another woman on the way home.

“That was my third or fourth time on Ecstasy,” said the former “Clarissa Explains It All” and “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” actress.

She also admitted to flings with the likes of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Jerry O’Connell and sneaking Britney Spears into a nightclub.

In the book, Hart also delves into her guest appearances in shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “The Equalizer,” auditioning for “Punky Brewster” and “Clarissa Explains It All” and her early Broadway days.
