For years, radio personality John LaBarca, right, has presented a showcase of Italian song, stories and remembrances during his “Italian House Party.” On Monday, Oct. 14, he will recreate that showcase of song and sentiment during his tribute to “The Legends of Italian Song,” at the Westchester Broadway Theatre, One Broadway Plaza, Elmsford, N.Y.
He will be joined by a trio of Italian singers who will bring the sounds of Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Luciano Pavarotti and others to life. The evening begins with dinner at 6:15 p.m., with the show at 8 p.m. You can get more information about tickets and directions to the theater by visiting the venue’s website.
“My part in this Italian tradition will be geared more toward the Italian American, including the music of Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett” and others, said one of the performers, Tony B, left, who said he has always loved singing the standards.
In the past, he said Labarca has featured his music on his radio show.
Also performing are Teo Ricciardella, right, a singer from Puglia, Italy, who is known nationally and internationally for his music.
Gianpaolo DiGrazia, left, who was born in Catania, Italy, but is based in Connecticut, can span from classical standards to international arrangements.
His repertoire includes the songs of Jerry Vale, Al Martino and Jimmy Roselli.
