Pink pumps, top fashions to help Breast Cancer Alliance’s efforts

If you ever thought you might splurge on a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes, this may be the month to do it.

Two custom design pairs are available for purchase fromShoe Logo Richards of Greenwich, as part of a collaboration with the Greenwich-based Breast Cancer Alliance, which has raised nearly $18 million since it was founded in 1996.

The shoes – a suede pump and and elegant satin heel – come with a unique stamp on the sole, indicating the distinct collaboration.

The shoes retail for $595 for the pump; $990 for the satin, jewel-encrusted high heel. Twenty percent of the sales will go toward the alliance.

The shoes, as well as some of the latest fashions by top designers, will be featured during the annual luncheon and fashion show on Nov. 7 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.

The event, which is headed by co-chairs Julie Johnson and Loren Taufield, is the alliance’s major fundraiser.
