Buddy Valastro Jr. has had to wait longer than it takes to make a cake, but TV’s “Cake Boss,” is apparently into the final stretch when it comes to opening a bakery in Greenwich.

A recent article in the Greenwich Time reported that the project will move forward, as long as certain conditions are met. This new Carlo’s Bakery is the latest in a franchise that stretches across the country. The original, in Hoboken, N.J., is familiar to the many who watch the reality show, which has been airing on TLC since 2009.

Valastro has his fans in the Nutmeg State. In 2010, he came through the area on his “Bakin’ with the Boss Tour,” and more recently came to the Lyman Center for the Performing Arts in New Haven.

Although there was no comment on the recent developments, Valastro talked about his plans for his first Connecticut site in an interview with Serendipity Magazine in November.
