Bestselling author Wally Lamb is expected to make a stop at the Wilton Library on Wednesday to discuss his latest book, “We Are Water,” a tale of a modern American family as it copes with changing social mores, emotional upheavals and the need for connection.

The talk will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Lamb, who is a Connecticut resident, has already enjoyed the success of four previous titles, all New York Times best-selling novels, which include “Wishin’ and Hopin’,” “The Hour I First Believed,” “I Know This Much is True” and “She’s Come Undone.” He was twice selected for Oprah’s Book Club.

Those interested in learning more about the book or Lamb will want to stick around, as a question-and-answer session and book-signing will follow the talk. Books may be purchased at the event, courtesy of Elm Street Books.

Registration is encouraged by visiting the website or calling 203-762-3950. The library is located at 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton.
