Hi Marie,
I would like to note that M&M farms is also a good place for farm fresh fruits and veggies, not all are locally grown but they are great tasting. I spent 30 minutes last weekend picking out fruits and vegetables, enough to fill three bags and was pleasantly surprised when the young lady asked for ten dollars. It's not as much fun as going to one of the open air farmers markets, however if you need to work and are unable to shop at the local farmers market, the visit to M&M will be well worth the trip.
No, I do not have any financial investment in M&M.

I am not going to say that I was necessarily drunk..., but I have definitely walked into the house late at night with the lights off, and found myself bumping into furniture that had not been in that same spot the last time I was in the house. Sometimes with loud results, like walking into a shelving holding hundreds of tiny wooden boxes.

Your wonderful descriptions brought me back to my teen years when we lived in Fort Trumbull. My first home was in New Haven, near St. Raphael's Hospital, and my only salt water experiences were rare trips to Lighthouse Park. Walking down to the Sound, at any time of the day, at any time of the year, is what I loved the best. A great deal of teenage angst was dispelled just by spending time gazing at the water. Thanks for revisiting it with me - I am going to do so for real on Friday when I am off from work!
