The Darien Nature Center is hosting its inaugural Chili Challenge, which will feature 11 local restaurants vying for the title of “Best Chili in Darien.”
Each of them will be creating a unique chili recipe to be served the night of the event, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 7 to 10 p.m. on the grounds of the Darien Nature Center.

The winner of the Chili Challenge will be selected by a panel of judges, including Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, cookbook author and food critic Melanie Barnard and Darien Nature Center Executive Director Elizabeth Hearle.
The ticket fee is $75 for all-you-can-eat chili and beer, wine and additional food. Tickets will be available soon. Capacity at the event will be limited so early ticket purchase is advised. For information, visit www.dariennaturecenter.org/chilichallenge.
