Articles about zombies have replaced Newsweek's traditional offerings

Articles about zombies have replaced Newsweek's traditional offerings.

Newsweek has been invaded by an army of zombies — or more likely geeks.

Either way, if you punch in a special code, the site’s content will replaced by the undead — as shared with Tech Talk by Hearst Connecticut copy editor Trudi Shaffer.

Check it out before it’s too late.

  1. Go to newsweek.com.
  2. Punch in the Konami code, or: Up
  3. Up
  4. Down
  5. Down
  6. Left
  7. Right
  8. Left
  9. Right
  10. B
  11. A
  12. Enter

And then watch out. Newsweek will never be the same again.

Update: Newsweek, which did not seem to know about the Easter egg until it went viral, has pulled the plug on the popular feature early Tuesday.

In a statement posted on several websites, including geek.com, a spokesperson said: “Now that we’ve all had a laugh, we will be removing it.”
