Jamie currently is a freelance copy editor and page designer for Hearst Connecticut newspapers where he works with content from the Connecticut Post, Danbury News-Times, Stamford Advocate and Greenwich Time. He is an avid tweeter, Facebook user and general news junkie. He is also a graduate student in Quinnipiac University’s interactive communications program.

Previously, Jamie served as a news editor at NBCNewYork.comwhere he covered the historic 2008 papal visit to America, organized and secured bloggers, coordinated Web coverage of the 2008 presidential election coverage and managed site content on a day-to-day basis.

He later served as a news editor and producer at FOXNews.com where he filed national stories and managed the news leader’s homepage and primary sections.

He looks forward to an open and continuous dialogue.

  1. I was taking a look at your blog and I thought you might be interested in an event taking place at New Haven’s Neon Garage next Monday, June 29th. The garage will be unveiling its signature “Juice Bar” electrical car charging station and opening a free, attended bicycle lot to encourage New Haven commuters to “go green.”

Please let me know if you would like additional information or high resolution photos. I would also be happy to provide you with a quote from one of our spokespersons.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best,

Propark America’s Neon Garage, a longtime proponent of green initiatives for the city of New Haven, will unveil several new services designed to encourage Connecticut commuters to utilize fuel-efficient means of transportation in order to reduce their carbon footprint.

Propark’s signature electric car charging station or “Juice Bar” will now be available to Neon Garage customers free of charge. The Juice Bar outlets will provide electric vehicles with the maximum amount of dedicated power required for the internal onboard charging systems to operate at their full capacity.
Given current electric vehicle (EV) technology, a typical recharge can be performed within 2 to 4 hours – varying based upon vehicle make and model. The installation of this progressive program mimics the successful program currently in place at Charles Square Garage in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
This ceremony will also mark the launch of the Neon Garage bicycle parking program which offers free, attended indoor bike parking for those who commute via bicycle.
As part of Neon Garage’s efforts to encourage environmental responsibility among its patrons, the garage already offers a 30% discount on regular monthly parking rates for electric cars and is proud to be a “small car only” garage facility.

To commemorate the occasion, renowned luminous glass artist Mundy Hepburn will debut nearly 200 illuminated blown glass sculptures located throughout the garage.

For interviews with Mayor DeStefano, John Schmid, Mundy Hepburn or various spokespersons listed above, contact Nicole Laster at (860) 229-6972 or email nlaster@gbpr.com. For more information on Propark’s green initiatives visit http://www.propark.com/green.
