Madeline Dennis has worked in the non-profit environmental field for 25 years in the tri-state area. She has worked for the Connecticut Audubon Society, the National Audubon Society and the Flat Rock Brook Nature Center in New Jersey. She was director of the hiking organization, the NY-NJ Trail Conference, and was an urban park ranger in Manhattan’s Central Park. Madeline is an avid bird watcher, hiker, nature lover, conservationist and backyard gardener and lives in Bridgeport’s Black Rock.
Her “Natural Nutmeg” blog covers nature and environmental subjects such as bird feeding and gardening, bird watching and hiking in various places in our local area and beyond, as well as specific environmental issues, and green topics.
In addition to the Natural Nutmeg blog, Madeline has created an award-winning web site called Bridgeport In The Know that covers everything about Bridgeport, Connecticut with over 500 Bridgeport web links, hundreds of Bridgeport photos and a discussion forum.
