Madeline Dennis has worked in the non-profit environmental field for 25 years in the tri-state area. She currently works for the Connecticut Audubon Society and has previously worked for the National Audubon Society and directed the Flat Rock Brook Nature Center in New Jersey. She also was the director of the hiking organization, the NY-NJ Trail Conference, and was an urban park ranger in Manhattan’s Central Park. Madeline is an avid bird watcher, hiker, nature lover, conservationist and backyard gardener and lives in Bridgeport’s Black Rock.
Her “Natural Nutmeg” blog covers local nature and environmental subjects such as bird feeding and gardening in the backyard, bird watching and hiking in various places in our local area, specific local environmental issues, green topics.
